Cheerleading 

All-Star cheerleading is one of Canada's fastest-growing sports that incorporates tumbling, stunting, dance into a single routine. Athletes learn teamwork, dedication, and commitment while enjoying travel, competitions, and other events. 

We have a program for everyone!

All Star Cheerleading

Calgary Stars is home to Calgary's longest-standing competitive cheerleading program, offering introductory teams for athletes with no experience and elite-level teams for experienced cheerleaders.

Teams are selected annually at Team Placements (Tryouts), where all are welcome and encouraged to try out. Once selected, teams practice weekly from June through May and participate in local competitions as well as travel events. Tryouts are required, but all athletes will be placed on a team: All-Star, Prep, or Rec!

Calgary Stars offers two streams of All-Star Cheer, National and International, providing athletes the option to compete within Canada or experience U.S. competitions.

Tryouts for the competitive cheerleading program are held every year in May at Calgary Stars.

 Prep Cheerleading

Calgary Stars offers  Prep cheerleading, a division of All-star cheerleading that allows athletes to train in a competitive setting with minimized training & financial commitment while attending local and regional competitions. Teams train once per week and compete against other Prep teams in the province. Tryouts are required but all athletes will make a team.

Recreational Cheerleading & Tumbling

Calgary Stars offers recreational cheerleading & tumbling classes for children ages four and up. Classes meet once per week and participants learn basic cheerleading skills such as stunting, tumbling, and jumping. Recreational cheerleading & tumbling classes are a great way to learn about the sport before committing to a competitive program.
