Prep is an exciting gateway to the competitive cheerleading realm. Our Prep teams convene for weekly practices from September to April, culminating in 3-4 provincial competitions. While the program offers a more affordable and time-efficient option, a strong dedication is essential. Athletes keen on joining our Prep program must undergo a tryout process, but rest assured, every participant secures a spot on a team! INTERESTED IN ALL-STAR:
Calgary Stars offers two streams of All-Stars Cheerleading tailored to athletes' goals and travel capabilities:
1. National Stream: Athletes in the National Stream compete primarily within Canada, with most competitions held in Alberta and occasionally in other provinces. This stream is ideal for athletes who may have limited travel opportunities. Despite the reduced travel commitment, athletes can expect the same high-quality programming and training.
2. International Stream: Athletes in the International Stream have the opportunity to compete not only within Alberta but also internationally, including in the U.S. and other provinces. This stream provides athletes with valuable experience in traveling and competing on a broader scale.
All-star teams in both streams train 2-3 times per week for 2-2.5 hours from June to May, with the flexibility to accommodate summer holidays.
The All-Star Program does require a Tryout. To register for your tryout please click on the registration button above. Chose youe age level and experience level. Those with Prep or Recreational experience should register in the "No experience" tryout.
